Resolving Shoulder Dystocia

A One-Day Workshop for Confident, Compassionate Baby Catchers

Stay calm. Create space. Restore birth’s natural flow.

Resolving Shoulder Dystocia is an immersive one-day workshop designed for midwives, student midwives, nurses, and doctors who want the inside picture of the why and how of stuck shoulders and their release.

Learn to read anatomy in motion. Create space through this body-informed, hands-on experience. Understand shoulder rotation through the pelvic diameters. Match maneuvers to where the shoulders are, rather than just disembodied memorization. Fear will dissolve!

Gail Tully

Gail Tully shares five types of shoulder dystocia and introduces the Pelvic Levels Solutions{SM] to match lifesaving maneuvers. “Hands-on” maneuvers, video, illustrations, handouts, even a digital coloring book!

Resolving Shoulder Dystocia arose from Gail’s observations of fetal rotation patterns while she developed Spinning Babies®. From assisting homebirth midwives in the 1980s to the development of Breech Basics in the 2010s, Gail noticed that maneuver memorization was not enough, but rather understanding the pelvic space “like your sock drawer at midnight.” This class is the result. Resolving Shoulder Dystocia is now owned and run by Restory BirthworkTM.
